QuestBridge College Match

 

 

The Match Scholarship

Match Scholarship Recipients are granted early admission to one of QuestBridge's college partners with a full four-year scholarship, worth over $200,000. Our college partners use a combination of their own funds as well as state and federal aid to fund the scholarship. Please view each college partner's Financial Aid section for further details and see a glossary of financial aid terms.

The Match Scholarship is offered as part of a generous financial aid package provided by the college that covers the cost of attendance, including:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Housing and food
  • Books and supplies
  • Travel expenses

All Match Scholarship packages:

  • Have NO parental contribution
  • Have NO student loans
  • May contain a student contribution in the form of Federal work-study, summer work, and/or student savings

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2024.
  • Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2024.
  • GPA – Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Income – Demonstrate unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. Last year’s cohort of new college scholarship recipients had a median family income of approximately $35,000.
  • Test Policy – This year, the Cooke Foundation will not require applicants to submit test scores for the College Scholarship Program application, and we will be “test blind” in the review process.
  • Deadline September 26, 2023

Jack Kent Cooke College Scholars

 

  • Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive.

This highly competitive scholarship includes:

  • Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school
  • Ability to pursue any area of study
  • Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid
  • Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the college student experience


Eligibility Requirements:

2025 Scholarship Applications

Jack and Jill of America Windy City Chapter Scholarship - Deadline:  TBD

  • African American seniors attending a high school in the City of Chicago. The scholarship will be awarded to two qualifying students; each $2,000 scholarship will be paid over four years in equal installments of $500. Scholarships are intended for undergraduate college attendance, beginning Fall 2024 at a qualifying college or university. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipient’s school.

Gread "Lefty" McKinnis Scholarship - Deadline:  TBD

  • The Foundation provides college scholarships to high school seniors that meet the following criteria:
  • US Citizenship – Chicagoland area

  • Eligible students must be AFRICAN-AMERICAN/BLACK MALE high school seniors, attending schools in Chicago, with at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA, and will begin college in the fall of 2020.  CPS applicants should access the application on cps.academicworks.com

Chicago Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen EAP Award

The Chicago Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. has established the Educational Assistance Program (EAP) for $1,000 for students applying for the Dr. Perez Award and $1,500 to students pursuing majors in Aviation, Engineering and Medical Sciences.


Requirements:

  • Current high school senior (class of 2025)
  • Resident of Chicago or a resident of a suburb surrounding Chicago
  • Composite ACT of 18 or SAT of  940
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
