The job search process can be tedious. 

You may get discouraged after applying for multiple jobs and either getting no response or the dreaded "thank you for applying . . . the position has been filled . . . whatever." 

Here's my advice: NEVER give up! What is yours is yours. You just have to find the right place at the right time.

If you don't have a LinkedIn profile, get one! Get a free professional headshot at a City of Chicago Small Business Expo (I did!) and create your online business profile on this site. Remember, this is not Facebook, so no cheesy, unprofessional photos or postings. Serious job seekers will have the most professional-looking profile.

Guess what, you may have to "ignore" some requests. If you've got friends who keep up a lot of social media shenanigans, don't accept their requests. You NEVER want a potential employer to see some goofy post or out-of-line response on your profile.

Indeed.com is one of the BEST job search websites! You can create filters for the type of job you're seeking by salary, city, state, position/title.  It's an awesome site -- one of my favorites.

So you don't have a resume, you're burned out and need career counseling and guidance. If you're under-employed, laid-off, displaced or just can't find a job, there are people who can help you...for FREE (if you meet the criteria)!
