Marcia Boyd is an educational leader with over 25 years of experience in postsecondary and secondary education and currently serves as a Program Manager for the Department of JROTC. As a first-generation African American college graduate from a single-parent home, she earned both a B.S. in Economics and an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Chicago State University. She has no student loan debt and was awarded scholarships throughout her collegiate experience. In her passion to help underserved youth in the Chicagoland area, she created Financial Aid 4 Success, LLC in 2015 and in 2016 she launched a vending machine business to help provide additional resources to the faith-based community that she serves.
Marcia is a member of several professional educational organizations. She is the immediate Past President of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Black Women in Higher Education (ABWHE); a member of the Illinois Association of College Admission Counselors (IACAC), and a nine-year Ilinois Notary Public.
Financial Aid 4 Success was developed in 2015 in order to help better-inform students from middle to low-income families about the high school, college and career planning processes. Specifically, the founder and CEO wanted to help families make well-informed decisions with regard to the college selection, application and enrollment and financial aid processes.
Student loan debt in the United States now exceeds $1.7 trillion dollars! Many students are graduating with crippling student loan debt burdens and are not able to secure careers that will enable them to afford paying the debt off easily.
