About Me

My Background

Marcia Boyd is an entrepreneur and retired educational leader with over 27 years of experience in postsecondary and secondary education.

As a first-generation African American college graduate from a single-parent home, she earned both a B.S. in Economics and an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Chicago State University. She was awarded scholarships as an undergraduate and graduate student and has no student loan debt. In 2015, she developed Financial Aid 4 Success, LLC and in 2016, she launched a successful vending machine business.

Marcia is a member of several professional organizations, including the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Black Women in Higher Education, and the National Notary Association.

Marcia has been an Illinois Notary Public since 2015, a successful vending machine owner and operator since 2016 and has been a financial literacy instructor for over ten years.

Financial Aid 4 Success, LLC (FA4S) was developed in 2015 in order to help better inform students and families about the high school, college, and career planning processes. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics have a tremendous impact on the workforce, it is critically important for anyone choosing a career to understand what skill sets, credentials, and training are in demand. This website is designed to help families prepare for the future today!

The most important goals of FA4S:

To help people understand the importance of making affordable college decisions and to do so by leveraging financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans and self-help).
To help expose people to career exploration opportunities before they make career decisions.
To help increase people's understanding of the importance of planning for retirement as soon as possible.
To learn the value of budgeting, saving, and investing in order to retire early and debt-free.
To help people learn the importance of entrepreneurship.
